Analyst-tester
Presentation/project
The ANPR program is managed by the Directorate of Police Information and ICT (DRI) of the Federal Police. The directorate is responsible for the preparation of policy and rules for information management and processing, the development of the police information concept, the establishment of technical norms and standards, and the implementation of information and communication systems.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) uses intelligent cameras that recognize license plates. The system then compares these scanned license plates with already available data (stolen or reported vehicles, whether or not they are allowed to drive in certain areas, etc.).
The performance of the central management system, connectivity, and data throughput is therefore essential.
Mission
As an analyst-tester within the ANPR team, you are responsible for identifying and defining the various required tests (functional, technical, acceptance, regression, etc.).
For this, you prepare a brief description and a test plan each time, in consultation with the developers and business analysts within the team. You work out the necessary test scenarios in detail and (re)test according to the test scripts you have developed.
You maintain (automated) testing in order to quickly and efficiently detect any issues.
You have a basic technical understanding and comprehend the functioning of IT systems and applications, and you have experience with different types of testing and the creation of scenarios and plans. In a short time, you will immerse yourself in the ANPR subject matter and the associated challenges and risks of the system.
You are service and user oriented and carefully document the progress and results of the various tests.
