The Federal Police is engaged in a large-scale digital and organizational transformation, aiming to modernize its processes, strengthen operational efficiency, and better meet the expectations of citizens and field services.
In this context, the BILOC business unit is responsible for a number of applications closely related to the work of police officers in the field. One of these applications is ISLP, which enables field officers to write reports and official records. The development of this application is fully handled by our teams.
You will structure and coordinate the BILOC-ISLP/PoliceSearch team to optimize its efficiency, actively contributing to organizational aspects such as incident, problem, and release management.
Your objective is to ensure the smooth operation of the development team, which currently consists of an analyst, a technical leader, and 5 developers.
You will foster a collaborative dynamic by sharing your experience and best practices with other teams in the BU.
Mission
- Ensure the proper functioning/alignment of technical teams, both internal and external to the BU.
- Facilitate the daily scrum.
- User/development team interface: Act as a daily facilitator between developers and business stakeholders.
- Check the quality of existing documentation and take necessary actions to update it.
- Ensure communication at various levels: management, end users, suppliers, other internal teams within DRI.
- Process Improvement: Define the working methodologies to be used within the team. Implement safeguards.
- Backlog Supervision: (Help to) create, write, and prioritize tickets (User Stories) for the development team.
- Operational Prioritization: Participate in the decision-making process regarding what should be developed in the current Sprint to maximize added value.
- Challenge requirements in collaboration with the current analyst.
- Monitor deployment with pilot units to decide on production rollout.
- Prepare and disseminate communications related to issues encountered with the application to ensure transparency.
- Communicate with our client community.
- Plan releases in collaboration with the development and deployment (Check-in) teams.
- Be proactive in anticipating any problems that may arise in the field in order to react as quickly as possible according to priority.
