💼 Your Role

As an Application/Cloud Architect, these are the main tasks that you'll be responsible for:

• API Design
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems to the common HR data platform.
• Create designs of Cloud Architecture.
• Contribution and implementation of technical architecture.
• Design and development of architecture components and services using cloud components.
• Production of software architecture documents.
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
• Analyse and act on signals for the reliability and security of the solution.

🛠️ What You'll Bring

✅ Technical Skills:

• Good knowledge of microservices
• Very good knowledge of API design
• Very good knowledge of strongly typed object-oriented languages (ex: Java, C#).
• Good knowledge of non-relational stores and or cache for high performance read operations.
• Good knowledge of Infrastructure and Platform as a Service (IaaS and PaaS), ideally on AWS.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Good knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message-oriented middleware and in particular, event architectures).
• Familiarity with cloud-based lake-houses, like Microsoft OneLake will be an advantage.
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in cloud migrations

🎓 Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• At least one Certification of Associate level (or above) on AWS or Azure
• AWS Solution Architect certification (advantage)

🗣️ Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English - Level C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing

🤝 Soft Skills:

• Autonomous
• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal communication.
• Attention to details.
• Good problem-solving skills
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the architect will have elevated privileges to the entire public cloud infrastructure of the European Commission.
