ABOUT US
You will join the Construction Projects department of the Facility Company, with the Herman Teirlinck building as its headquarters on the Thurn & Taxis site, Brussels. The Construction Projects department manages and coordinates construction projects from design to delivery for the Flemish government, for departments, internally autonomous agencies, and externally autonomous agencies.

The Construction Projects department consists of about 90 employees in 4 teams, supported by several internal consultants and experts in specific fields.

• Execution Construction Projects team
• Project Support team
• Technical Support team

As an assistant project manager, you will join the Study & Coordination Construction Projects team. The team consists of approximately 36 project managers and assistant project managers who work in 3 groups of about 10 colleagues each, managing a subset of projects. You will start within the group responsible for the major (re)housing projects and interior projects within our offices.

ABOUT THE POSITION
As an assistant project manager, you will contribute to our relocation projects and support the project manager in both the study and execution phases, but you may also be responsible for specific work packages.

Effective communication with the various members of the project team is essential in this role.

You will be involved in the following challenging relocation projects, among others:

• Flemish Administrative Centre Antwerp
• VAC Leuven
• Etc.

Within the project team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• You place a high value on sustainability and circularity
• You have a keen eye for detail
• People say you have an elephant's memory, but in reality, you are just very adept with checklists in Excel
• You are proficient with Autocad, can easily draft or modify drawings
• You look forward to dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s
• You are empathetic and customer-friendly, but can also stand your ground
• Contributing to relocation projects within the Flemish government
• Supporting the project manager in both the study and execution phases
• Independently taking on specific work packages within the project
• Ensuring effective communication with the various members of the project team
• Involvement in challenging projects such as the Flemish Administrative Centre Antwerp and VAC Leuven

Practical information:

• The rate can be indexed annually in accordance with the contract’s price revision clause.
• The contract can be extended after a positive evaluation.
• There is no mileage allowance, the cost of necessary travel is included in the offered rate. Free parking is available at the Herman Teirlinck building if desired.
