THE SOCIETE WALLONNE DE CREDIT SOCIAL (SWCS)

The Société wallonne du crédit social (SWCS) is a legal entity under public law in the form of a public limited company.

SWCS offers:

• social mortgage loans to finance the purchase or construction of a home;
• zero-interest installment loans to carry out renovation work (either with pre-financing of grants, called "rénopacks"; or without grants, called "rénoprêts");
• zero-interest installment loans to establish a rental guarantee.

These loans are intended for households composed of up to 2 children and with precarious, modest, or average incomes.

SWCS’s mission is to:

• Enable access to home ownership in Wallonia;
• Enable the preservation of property by carrying out health and energy-saving works;
• Be an alternative to the traditional banking sector with attractive loan formulas to support renovation and energy savings;
• Support those who buy/build a home in Wallonia, regardless of the real estate or land pressure;
• Offer support throughout the repayment of the loan.

SWCS's activities are carried out throughout Wallonia via the Social Credit Counters, which are legal entities distinct from SWCS. The Social Credit Counters operate under the authorization of the Walloon Region and are required, in this context, to comply with the loan regulations as determined by SWCS and the Region.

The counters act as brokers for SWCS or as direct lenders; in the latter case, they are exclusively financed by SWCS.

The company employs about 130 people, around fifteen of whom work within the IT and Technology Department.

THE IT TEAM AND YOUR MISSIONS

You will join a small, enthusiastic, and supportive team focused on projects and results. You will pay particular attention to the rigor of your work, the quality of your developments, as well as the clarity and completeness of their documentation.

You will also be required to handle sensitive financial production data. For this reason, it is essential that you attach the utmost importance to security and discretion in all circumstances to ensure a secure digital environment.

With the aim of improving the quality of SWCS services to citizens, your main tasks will include:

• Design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support operations in a C# .NET / React / REST API / SQL Server / Git environment
• Varied projects (core-business, support, communication, services, and governance)
• Participation in the design and implementation of a microservices-oriented architecture
• Continuous integration in DevOps mode and implementation of unit tests
• Participation in technical analyses
• Technical support to the team, with a tech lead mindset
