Business Analyst – Digitalization & M365 Ecosystem
General:
You work within the CIS competence center of Defense in support of the business partners. The business partners capture the digitization needs of their assigned project. As a business analyst, you assist the business partners and their stakeholders in eliciting, analyzing, communicating, and validating requirements for changes to processes, policies, and software applications. You are able to translate problems and opportunities into clear requirements and propose solutions that enable the organization to achieve its objectives.
As Business Analyst, you are responsible for analyzing and optimizing digital processes within the existing Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You work closely with internal clients to translate their needs into functional solutions and proactively contribute to new policies and changes within the platform.
In addition, you support larger digitization projects where you map out the client’s processes and translate them into clear functional requirements for new software development or integration into existing solutions. You work within a fixed architectural framework of Defense and apply modeling languages such as ArchiMate to structure and document your analyses.
You are willing to work in a military environment and undergo a security clearance (law of December 11, 1998 concerning classification, security authorizations, security certificates, security advice, and the publicly regulated service).
You are willing to share and transfer knowledge to colleagues in order to anchor this competence within Defense and to help shape how this capability is further developed to better support clients in the future.
Details:
- At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, specifically within M365 and broader digitization projects.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and their integration possibilities.
- Strong analytical skills, communicative, and client-oriented.
- Experience working within a structured architectural framework is a plus.
- You have extensive experience modeling enterprise architecture and processes (such as ArchiMate and BPMN), allowing you to analyze and optimize processes.
- You are able to elicit, analyze, and manage needs. You have experience facilitating requirement workshops and can ensure that needs are well documented and communicated.
- You have experience analyzing and interpreting data to generate meaningful insights. You are familiar with data analysis techniques and tools for making recommendations and supporting decision-making.
- You are able to communicate smoothly, clearly, and effectively with stakeholders, understand their needs, and manage expectations.
- You are comfortable with changing environments and are able to learn, both in terms of tools, techniques, and methods.
- You can collaborate effectively within a multilingual team, are able to facilitate discussions and promote collaboration to achieve goals. You work closely with others to deliver the requested deliverables.
General project description:
To support the digitization of Defense’s processes in the context of Defense’s digital transformation. Works in a central pool system and is deployed according to clients’ needs when this competence is required. The goal is to initiate a military competence pool (with own employees).
Additional questions:
- Demonstrate with a concrete case of business analysis within the M365 ecosystem and implementation project.
- Demonstrate how a general need is analyzed and approached up to implementation.
- Demonstrate how a group of BAs can be managed and how a coherent way of collaboration can be achieved.
