In this role of Data Business Analyst, here are your responsibilities:

General Role

The Senior Data Business Analyst, reporting to the Financial and Commercial Management, plays a central role in transforming data into performance levers. Their mission is to understand business needs, structure functional requirements to design data solutions that improve performance, decision-making, and operational efficiency. They serve as an interface between business, data, and IT teams, with an advanced level of autonomy.

Main Tasks

1. Analysis of Business Needs and Functional Scoping

• Gather, clarify, and formalize stakeholder needs.
• Lead scoping and clarification workshops.
• Translate these needs into functional and data requirements.
• Prioritize requests based on business value and technical constraints.

2. Data Modeling and Management

• Participate in defining data models and information flows.
• Contribute to improving data quality, consistency, and governance.
• Collaborate with data IT and business experts to ensure the availability and reliability of datasets.

3. Analysis and Production of Insights

• Perform quantitative analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Build relevant KPIs and dashboards tailored to business needs.
• Propose concrete recommendations based on analytical results.

4. Coordination and Communication

• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business teams.
• Present results in a clear, concise, and action-oriented manner.
• Support users in adopting data tools and solutions.

5. Continuous Improvement and Innovation

• Identify ways to optimize business processes through data.
• Contribute to the company's data roadmap.
• Participate in cross-functional projects (automation, data quality, data governance, etc.).

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Data analysis, SQL, understanding of data models and flows
• Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik…), definition of KPIs.
• Understanding of data architectures (data warehouse, data lake, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand data models.
• Knowledge of statistics and data science (a plus).

Functional Skills

• Writing functional specifications and user stories.
• Knowledge of business processes, ability to challenge requirements.
• Ability to challenge requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Experience in project management or agile methodology.

Mission Execution Terms:

• The designated consultant will be assigned full-time to execute the contract and may potentially provide 440 man-days spread over approximately 2 years, on a 40-hour per week basis, during VIVAQUA's business days.
• Services will be performed at least 3 days per week onsite at VIVAQUA’s Head Office, potentially on a non-continuous basis, unless expressly exempted by a Financial and Commercial Management Officer.
• The consultant is informed that they are not authorized to work overtime or outside office hours (Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) without the express permission of VIVAQUA.
• The designated consultant must take into account the needs for service continuity at VIVAQUA and the constraints related to the projects it manages when planning vacations, and will agree in advance on this with the Managing Officer.
• The designated consultant must comply with the provisions of the "Code of conduct for external providers" of VIVAQUA, this document being available upon simple request.
