To strengthen our ICT department, we are currently looking for a Support/Infr Engineer.

Purpose of the position

The Business Data, Information, Decision & Knowledge Management Architect/Expert is responsible for defining, implementing, and monitoring the (functional) information, decision, and knowledge architecture within the organization. He/she works closely with the Enterprise Architect and the BPM Architect/Expert to realize a coherent and future-oriented information, decision, and knowledge model that optimally supports the business processes.

Core responsibilities

  • Functional Information and Decision Architecture: Designing an integrated information, decision, and knowledge architecture that supports the business strategy and process architecture, including principles and guidelines for information use.
  • Functional Data, Information, Decision, and Knowledge Management: Setting up processes and structures for the management of business data, information, decisions, and knowledge, with attention to quality, accessibility, reusability, and governance.
  • Functional Data, Information, Decision, and Knowledge Management: Coordinating initiatives around metadata, master data, knowledge sharing, and information classification, in line with business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Functional Data, Information, Decision, and Knowledge Model: Developing and maintaining models that describe the semantics, structure, and relationships of business data, information, and knowledge, aligned with the process architecture and information and decision systems.
  • Training, coaching, and knowledge transfer with regard to DMN, BPMN, CMMN, and SDMN
  • Collaboration and alignment: Acting as a link between business and IT, and contributing to multidisciplinary consultation structures such as architecture boards and data and information governance boards.
  • Policy and standards: Developing policy frameworks and standards for functional information, decision, and knowledge management, and monitoring compliance within projects and operational processes.

Required competencies

  • Thorough knowledge of information and decision architecture, knowledge management, and business data analysis.
  • Experience with methodologies such as DAMA-DMBOK, BPMN, CMMN, DMN, SDMN, and knowledge management frameworks.
  • Analytical mindset, with an eye for coherence between business organization, processes, information, decisions, and technology.
  • Able to spot errors or inconsistencies in documentation or processes.
  • Stakeholder management – Handling different interests and expectations within an organization and being able to reach consensus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and simply to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of both Dutch and French, spoken and written.

Reporting and collaboration

Functionally reports to the Enterprise Architect and works closely with the BPM Architect/Expert, business stakeholders, and information and knowledge stewards.
