Business / Functional / Technical Data Analyst within the Integrated Police – Senior

You will be employed by the Directorate of Police Information and ICT (DRI) of the Federal Police. DRI is responsible for the management of police information and ICT resources. Within DRI, the Systems Division (DIST) develops the ICT system architecture, organizes and manages the ICT systems, and is responsible for technical analysis, system architecture, servers, networks, databases, communications, technical standards, security, and specialized support.
Project
As part of the further digital transformation of the Integrated Police and the phasing out of mainframe-based applications, we are looking for a Business / Functional / Technical Data Analyst. The assignment consists of analyzing existing mainframe domains, data models, functions, processes, and queries, and translating these into a modern, future-oriented ICT environment. Particular attention is paid to data migration, semantic modeling, ontologies, and the exploitation of central logging of queries.
Mission
The consultant analyzes existing mainframe applications, data structures, data flows, and functional processes. He/she describes business logic, data definitions, and dependencies, and translates these into new functional processes, data models, integration concepts, and ontologies. Additionally, the consultant contributes to the analysis of central logging of data queries, exploitation and analysis tools, and supports the migration of legacy environments to a modern architecture. The consultant coordinates with business users, architects, developers, database administrators, security specialists, and project managers, and supports workshops with domain experts.
