As a Business Information Analyst, you act as a bridge between the business world and the BI world.

You understand and analyze the business needs in terms of insights and BI.

You translate these into the BI technical side and can turn the requirements into a briefing for data engineers.

Next, you work independently in Power BI to create datasets and more complex reports/dashboards.

In addition to building the new BI environment in Power BI, there is also a migration underway of reporting needs from the existing SAP BI environment to Power BI.

Description

• You strengthen the team responsible for data modeling and Power BI reports in support of the business
• You perform functional analysis of the source data for Data Engineers in preparation for the BI requirements
• You independently build dimensional data models so that the Data and Reporting Analysts (DRA) can create high-performance dashboards
• You provide the complex reports and dashboards for the business and support the DRA in developing/maintaining dashboards
• You share responsibility for ensuring that the right insights are provided in the BI layer
• You maintain the existing universes in Power BI and support the Data and Reporting Analysts who use the universes as a source for visualizations/reports

Profile

• Experience with Power BI (modeling, DAX, visualization)
• Experience with SAP BI (designer of universe)
• Experience with data modeling, data warehouse, reporting, data visualization, …
• Knowledge of SQL
• Able to quickly acquire business knowledge
