About the job

As a Business Information Analyst, you will act as a bridge between the business world and the BI world.

You understand and analyze the business needs regarding insights and BI.

You translate these into the BI technical side and are able to convey the requirements in a briefing for data engineers.

Then you will work in Power BI yourself to create the semantic models and more complex reports/dashboards.

In addition to building the new BI environment in Power BI, there is an ongoing migration of reporting needs from the existing SAP BI environment to Power BI.

Description

• You will strengthen the team responsible for data modeling and Power BI reports in support of the business
• You create functional analyses of the source data for Data Engineers in preparation for the BI needs
• You independently build dimensional data models so that the Data and Reporting Analysts (DRA) can build high-performance dashboards on top of them
• You provide the complex reports and dashboards for the business and support the DRA in developing/maintaining dashboards
• You are jointly responsible for ensuring the right insights are provided in the BI layer
• You maintain the existing datasets in Power BI and support the Data and Reporting Analysts who use the universes as a source for visualizations/reports

Profile requirements

• Strong analytical mindset
• Experience with Power BI (modeling, DAX, visualization)
• Experience with data modeling, data warehouse, reporting, data visualization, etc.
• Knowledge of SQL
• Able to quickly acquire business knowledge
