ABOUT THE POSITION

Within a specific field of expertise, the position is responsible for performing maintenance tasks and/or operating installations within the set quality, safety, and environmental standards, with the aim of ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in and around the BP buildings, installations, etc.

Result Areas

• Executing and planning the assigned complex maintenance tasks and/or operational tasks in order to guarantee the proper functioning of the installations.
• Preparing and carrying out the maintenance tasks (e.g. reserving spare parts, making appointments with operations / VEM, aligning VGW, …)
• Creating dimensional sketches, P&IDs, electrical diagrams, …
• Performing operational tasks (e.g. conducting inspection rounds, managing utilities, performing dose tests, …)
• Detecting, analyzing, and addressing problems and malfunctions within your own field of expertise in order to prevent or resolve process disturbances and defects.
• Detecting malfunctions and defects.
• Analyzing the problem and making proposals to resolve or prevent malfunctions and defects.
• Recording malfunctions and/or alarms and taking appropriate action.
• Participating in working groups in the context of improvement projects in order to contribute to the continuous improvement process.
• Formulating proposals and possible solutions.
• Carrying out assigned tasks within the specified time limit.
• Participating in risk and workstation analyses.
• Participating in the technical installation of projects in order to contribute to their successful realization.
• Providing input regarding maintainability and ergonomics.
• Verifying the technical requirements through tests and inspections.
• Assisting in the commissioning of technical installations.
• Reporting the status of the work within your own field of expertise in order to inform the organization / the hierarchy, ensure knowledge retention, and drive continuous improvement.
• Co-drafting instructions and preparing manuals.
• Recording and keeping data up-to-date in the designated management system and logbooks.
• Communicating and monitoring modifications to diagrams & P&IDs.
• Task-oriented guidance and supervision of (internal / external) staff during maintenance work and inspections to ensure the proper progress of the work.
• Providing technical, operational instructions.
