Copywriter
You will work within the Directorate of Police Information and ICT (DRI) of the Federal Police.
Information about the Directorate (DRI)
The Directorate of Police Information and ICT (DRI) is responsible for the management of police information and ICT resources.
As such, our directorate is notably responsible for preparing policy and rules for the management and processing of information, developing the police information concept, defining technical standards and norms, and implementing information and communication systems.
Information about the Business Unit (BINAT) within the Directorate (DRI)
The Business Unit International (BINAT) coordinates information needs in order to comply with European and international directives (CBE, VIS, EUCARIS, SIENNA, SIS, …). It also ensures that the points of attention resulting from these various agreements or international projects are properly relayed to the other Business Units for the relevant matters so that they can carry out impact analyses. It works in direct partnership with the Legal office service as well as with CGI.
The writer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of training materials for trainers and end-users for all Belgian software applications related to the RAAVIS project.
This material will consist of a modular online training platform for end-users (presentations, voice recordings, video recordings, exercises), a well-maintained Q&A platform, and support materials for trainers. The implemented platforms will be used to train all border guards and other police personnel using these applications.
The training material will not only cover the applied processes and the practical use of the applications, but will also instantiate the content of the national-level interoperability manual, in a practical form describing the actions to be taken in each possible situation.
The Belgian Federal Police has clearly chosen to offer training and reference materials in an online format instead of fully written manuals, in order to more clearly indicate to the end-user the measures to be taken for each relevant process.
This ensures training at a personal pace distributed among the relevant police units. Each unit has appointed internal trainers to assist police personnel who need help assimilating the content and to act as local subject matter experts.
The training material is the foundation and reference for this way of working.
