1. Presentation of ETNIC

ETNIC (Entreprise pour les Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication) is the IT operator of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. As a public interest organization, ETNIC’s mission is to design, develop, maintain, and evolve information systems and technological infrastructures serving the administrations and institutions of the FWB.

A central player in the digital transformation of the French-speaking Belgian public sector, ETNIC operates in various fields such as:

• Management of IT infrastructures (networks, security, data centers, cloud)
• Development of custom business applications
• Support for digital projects (functional analysis, UX/UI, project management)
• Cybersecurity and data protection
• User support and training

With a constant focus on innovation, performance, and public service, ETNIC regularly collaborates with external partners to strengthen its teams through IT consultancy assignments. These collaborations take place in an ethical, professional framework, aimed at quality and the concrete impact of delivered solutions.

2. Mission and activities

Within the “Security & Privacy Operational Taskforce” (SPOT) team, under the supervision of the Information Security Advisor.

Strategic Mission: The mission consists of industrializing project risk management, ensuring effective monitoring of ISMS measures, and raising the maturity level of project teams through follow-up, awareness, and continuous training of stakeholders:

• Take charge of the continuous flow of risk analyses (over 40 already completed), ensuring their realization within the deadlines set by project cycles.
• Organize regular follow-up meetings with project teams to verify the progress of implementing security measures.
• Check the correct configuration of technical measures and the effective application of the recommended organizational processes, going beyond mere recommendation.
• Train new project managers and development teams in using ETNIC’s risk analysis methodology and security policy.
