VRT is looking for a Data and Knowledge Manager within the Facilities team

What can you expect from this assignment?

The Buildings & Facility Management department is looking for a data and knowledge manager.

Our department manages a real estate portfolio in Brussels and Flanders. For the main building in Brussels, a new building is currently being constructed based on a 3-D BIM design. In the new building, management systems, data buses, and other intelligent systems play an increasingly important role. The connection with end users will become stronger.

We are starting with a clean slate for the data policy, which, among other things, leads to the implementation of a new FMIS package and numerous opportunities and challenges to further develop our mission.

What do we expect from you?

Together with the supplier of the FMIS package Planon, you will define the scope and set up the configuration. Among others, the following management domains are included:

• Real estate, space, and asset management
• Planned maintenance
• Procurement and contract management
• Facility user support
• Cleaning
• Logistics - warehouses

Additionally, you will also be responsible for...

Application management; maintaining data in the FMIS, the BIM model, the building management system from Schneider:

• You monitor the consistency of the data, and support department staff in correctly entering data.
• Document management.

Knowledge management projects:

• You perform the needs analysis, design processes into concrete workflows.
• Organizing training sessions for various target groups within the department.

Who are you?

• You have experience with facility management of buildings.
• You have experience with relational database software.
• You work fluently with standard IT applications (Excel, SharePoint, Teams…).
• Knowledge of a Facility Management Information System (FMIS) is an asset.
• You are familiar with ACAD and Revit or are able to work with them.
• You possess strong communication skills.
• You listen to the needs of staff and are able to translate these into practical solutions based on your expertise.
• Working in a team is a great motivator from which you draw strength and energy.
• You enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with others.
• You work punctually and accurately within the agreed timeframe.
• Any lack of experience with or knowledge of applications is compensated by acquiring the necessary basic knowledge and getting started with it.

What do we offer you?

You will receive a full-time contract for a freelance assignment via an intermediary for 1 year. Extension is possible by mutual agreement (max. 3 times extendable).

The assignment may be awarded to one or more parties.

Context/Requirements:

• 4.1.2 “The rates stated in the Contract are so-called 'all-in' rates, which include all costs, such as but not limited to management and administration costs, costs of all communication tools, and all travel expenses to and from the place of execution (including parking costs). The rates are only exclusive of VAT.”
• 6.1 “Subcontractor must take out the necessary insurance with an FSMA-recognized insurer for the entire duration of the Agreement and is obliged to ensure that assistants are also insured against liability risks. The following insurances are required:
• All legally mandatory insurances applicable to the Assignment (e.g. occupational accidents, business travel, etc.)
• Civil Liability insurance and Professional Liability insurance (…)”
• 1. “(…) Client guarantees that VRT will refrain from encouraging the MSP resource to leave the Subcontractor during the term of the Contract and for a period of 12 months after the actual end thereof.”
• 13.2.1 “The Contract shall automatically terminate upon reaching its end date and/or upon reaching the maximum number of performance days provided therein. Any subsequent performance by the Subcontractor cannot give rise to invoicing. Each Party may terminate the Contract with one month's written notice period. (…)”
