Fluvius is building a hybrid data and information landscape that combines an SAP-oriented platform with a data platform on a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment, with Power BI as the reporting tool. Various sources and applications are connected to these platforms, built up in different data and information layers, and integrated with each other to develop (advanced) analytics use cases and reports.

Additionally, a domain-oriented organization of data teams has been set up, within which the data and BI specialists work on the data and information products of the specific domain.

In the Market Operations domain, a Market Operations data warehouse was built in the SAP stack (ETL in BODS, reporting in WebI) as part of the establishment of a Central Market System (CMS) at Atrias and the introduction of new market processes (MIG6). To meet the future BI & Analytics needs in this domain, a migration towards the Azure data platform has started.
In this trajectory, we are looking for an experienced BI consultant, who, with their BI and data expertise, can contribute to this migration assignment, as well as participate in various BI projects.

Thanks to your expertise and technical background, you can handle BI and data issues "end-to-end": you are responsible for the needs analysis, technical design, data modeling in the Azure Databricks data platform, and also the visualization/reporting in Power BI. You guide the client throughout the entire delivery process.

You provide support to the data team to keep the BI and data platforms operational:

• Executing and monitoring daily load jobs and "keep it running" activities
• Incident & Problem management
• Monitoring and assisting with planned interventions
• Follow-up of the change & release process

Furthermore, you are the point of contact for the business and provide functional support to the business users, entirely within the Market Operations domain.

Context/Requirements

You will join a self-managing SCRUM data team of SAP BI and MS Azure BI experts, within which you will perform the following activities:

• In consultation with information analysts, you create functional analyses/specifications and discuss them with the various stakeholders (you also ensure the validation of the documents).
• Based on the reporting needs, you develop the data model in accordance with the Fluvius BI regulations.
• You are responsible for the technical implementation within an MS Azure environment from extraction to final report.
• You follow the standard development cycle within the respective environments.
• You check the work performed using a predefined test plan and help provide the test data required to execute the test cases.
• You ensure that your work fits within our monitoring and alerting setup so that all errors are immediately visible and the agreed service levels can be achieved.
• You develop overarching communication and training materials and keep them up to date.
• You are responsible for the lifecycle management and updates/upgrades of the existing environments.
• You assist the data team in resolving technical issues.
• Based on your expertise, you make improvement proposals within the Databricks BI framework.
• You assist the business in using the reporting tools.
• You contribute ideas on the future of BI within the Fluvius framework, prepare the client for future innovations, and guide them through the introduction of these changes.
