Fedasil made a transition in 2022-2023 from a data warehouse (DWH) based on SAP technology to a data warehouse embedded in the Azure Cloud Ecosystem. To successfully continue this project, we are looking for a consultant data engineer / analyst with the following profile:

• Demonstrated experience in setting up and maintaining a DWH with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL (ETL, pipelines)
• Demonstrated experience in setting up a DWH according to the Kimball Methodology
• Applied knowledge of Python, Talend
• Demonstrated experience of 2+ years in the public sector
• Demonstrated experience in organizing and setting up roles and workspaces in Power BI according to the needs of an organization
• Demonstrated experience in designing complex Power BI dashboards / reports
• Knowledge of the legal and logistical procedures regarding asylum operations is an asset
• Thorough knowledge of Dutch or French. English is an asset.

The consultant is expected to:

• Maintain and expand existing ETL procedures, data marts according to the requirements of the business
• Integrate new datasets into the existing model, with attention to consistency
• Make existing ETL procedures more efficient in relation to cost and usage
• Set up a distribution system for Power BI reports and dashboards for internal and external clients
• Transfer knowledge of the delivered work to the staff of the Data & Analysis department
• Deliver detailed documentation
