For the team responsible for maintaining existing and developing new applications for supported services, Politiezone Antwerpen is looking for a Senior Developer who will help determine the architectural direction and elevate the code to a higher level.

In this role, you are the technical authority for our development team. You are responsible for making fundamental choices in our backend (.NET/C#) and frontend (Angular or Blazor), maintaining the perfect balance between innovation and stability.

We are not just looking for a developer, but a driving force who:

• Elevates the team: You coach colleagues and set the standard for clean code and robust architecture. You take initiative to continuously optimize the software development lifecycle, for example by improving workflows, tooling, and best practices.

• Gets hands-on: You not only design on paper but also actively contribute to building complex business-critical applications.

• Embraces the future: You have a clear vision for integrating AI into the development process (e.g. via Claude) and know how to effectively leverage these tools to increase our efficiency and quality. You provide guidance in making architectural decisions.

In short: we are looking for an expert who sets the direction, inspires the team, and translates the latest technologies into tangible results. This in close cooperation with project managers, analysts, and testers.

Proven experience in the development of based applications
Proven experience in leading a development team and coaching developers.
Proven experience in executing programming tasks very efficiently: coding, testing, and debugging.
Proven knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology, with the ability to take on a leading role.
Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2.

Context/Requirements

The duration of the assignment can be extended by mutual agreement in periods of 12 months, within the limits of the framework agreement of the Facilitair Bedrijf.
Price adjustments are not allowed, except for indexation during the assignment, which is permitted after each period of 12 consecutive months.
Termination by the service provider: the contractor may terminate the agreement at any time by registered letter and subject to one (1) month's notice.
Termination by AG Digipolis Antwerpen: AG Digipolis Antwerpen may terminate the agreement at any time by registered letter and subject to one (1) month's notice.
