De Lijn’s digital program is focused on improving the customer experience, both in terms of digital travel information, e-ticketing, and e-care. To strengthen our digital team, we are looking for a Product owner with extensive experience in e-projects.

In summary, we are looking for a profile that recognizes themselves in the following characteristics:

• Pragmatic hands-on leader: Someone with an 80/20 mentality who does not get bogged down in perfectionism, but makes decisions with common sense and helps move things forward.
• Strategic prioritization: A profile that dares to scope and descale, actively manages the backlog, and supports the business in making the right choices. At the same time, this person can pragmatically indicate which items are less of a priority within an MVP.
• Product Owner: Someone who substantively challenges both designers and user stories and ensures that the MVP scope is safeguarded within the team.
• Hands-on and operational mindset: Someone who does not hesitate to roll up their sleeves: help develop training, draw up work instructions, perform functional testing, and closely follow up on bugs. In doing so, critically assesses whether something is truly a must-have or rather a nice-to-have. Also includes the administrative follow-up and maintenance of dependencies with other teams.
• Guardian of quality and overview: Someone who maintains a helicopter view and ensures that testers and developers do not get lost in unnecessary details.
• Key figure within the team: A proactive personality who quickly picks up matters, seeks solutions, and connects people to achieve progress.

Context/Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in digital projects. Extensive experience with digital channels, web & mobile. Broad IT knowledge and experience with digital architecture. You use your analytical skills to help design the best solution for the business within the team. You can handle uncertainty and a lack of specifications and see this as an opportunity. You are solution-oriented. Strong business focus and delivery-driven. Team player and able to inspire others. Higher education (Master’s or Bachelor’s degree) with a technical/engineering or business economics background, or equivalent through experience. You speak and write fluent Dutch.
