TEC – short for “Transport En Commun” – is one of the main players in mobility and economic, social, and sustainable development in Belgium. With its 5,400 employees and the 120 professions they perform, TEC (www.letec.be) is a committed company whose members share a common goal: to improve, every day, the performance, user-friendliness, and sustainability of public transport services.

The Embedded Systems Department (DSE) leads two major TEC projects: the design and production of the new onboard computer (PFE) that will equip TEC’s 2,500 buses and trams, as well as the Operational Assistance System, which allows various TEC Services to access data collected by the PFEs. These two solutions work in synergy. To improve coordination, monitoring, and development of these projects, TEC is looking for a senior Transversal IT Project Manager who is able to work with both a Prince 2 project framework and the agility of development teams.

You will join a team of around twenty people (C++ developers (PFE/Embedded Systems) & PHP/Symfony (SAE/Web Platform); electronics engineer; change manager; tester; Product Owner; Team Leaders; Functional Analyst, Product Manager, Public Procurement Manager…).

MISSION

In this context, your responsibilities may include the following:

• Daily project management:
• Time management
• Project breakdown (WBS) & planning
• Monitoring
• Steering and measuring progress (creating dashboards, selecting indicators, scheduling/preparing steering committees with the sponsor, …)
• Decision-making
• Resource management & monitoring

• Management of project interdependencies
• Supervision and coordination of all project stakeholders

• Liaising with the Project Coordinator who manages the Department’s project portfolio
• Contributing to improving the DSE’s project management methodology framework
• Ensuring team cross-functionality for the development of PFE & SAE products

Profile

Education:

• You hold a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in managing large-scale IT-oriented projects
• Experience in Embedded Systems and web platform projects is an asset
• Proficiency in English is required
• Prince 2 certification (or equivalent) is a plus

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• The candidate must have perfect command of the French language, both spoken and written.
• Full-time position. Possibility of 2 days of teleworking. Thursday and Friday preferably on-site in Namur.
