As a Senior IT Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal consistency and security. You will work closely with the IT Manager and the CSO of the CCB. He/She will report directly to the IT Manager. He/She will work closely with the CSO to ensure the security of the CCB's IT environment and the various solutions in place.

Location
The Belgian Centre for Cybersecurity has two locations in Brussels: the headquarters at 18 rue de la Loi and a second site at Eurostation. Regular physical presence at one or the other of these sites is required in accordance with the human resources policy.

1. Mission and Task Description
The CCB has its own IT needs, for citizen services and for its own operations. In this context, we are looking for an IT Architect who will be responsible for coordinating the migration of the CCB's IT infrastructure, both from the IT architecture perspective and by providing technical support to Project Managers regarding IT solution design.
Currently, several IT Architects and technicians from different organizations are involved in the preparatory work.
The future IT Architect will play a key role in ensuring, on the ground, overall consistency, proper coordination among stakeholders, as well as preparation and execution of the migration, in line with the CCB’s expectations, both in terms of result quality and compliance with deadlines.
He/She will also help ensure a high level of quality and completeness in the infrastructure documentation after the migration.
The migration of existing or upgraded solutions will be carried out in a Cloud environment. The scope of the role also includes supervising the migration of Microsoft SaaS solutions, including Microsoft 365 (O365), OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Fabric, and associated services.
1.1. General Objectives
A. Supervise the proposal of a new IT architecture for the CCB, organize and consolidate the technical IT and security documentation of the CCB, suggest improvements.
B. Define the IT architecture principles and practices for the CCB’s new infrastructure.
C. Coordinate the various architects and technicians to jointly build and document pragmatic, high-performing, efficient, and secure solutions for the CCB.
D. Provide technical support to Project Managers during projects to ensure that solutions are designed consistently and securely, and that these designs are documented and consolidated. The future IT Architect will create project architecture documents, maintain them in the designated repository. If the documentation is not created by the IT Architect themself, he/she will be responsible for quality control and will ensure it is put in order by the various CCB service providers before project closure.
E. Establish and lead the CCB Architecture Board in coordination with the IT Manager, CSO, relevant stakeholders, and various technical specialists.
F. Support the IT Manager and CSO in reviewing and approving architectures and design documents provided by project stakeholders.
G. Support the IT Manager and CSO in reviewing and approving “changes”.
1.2. Expected Tasks

Recommend best practices and potential frameworks in terms of IT architecture.

Creation of architecture and design documents for IT projects.

Coordinate the various stakeholders to define coherent IT architectures that meet IT project needs and business demands.

Challenge proposed IT architecture and design solutions to encourage project stakeholders to reflect, adjust their proposals, and improve the solutions to be implemented.

Participate in troubleshooting sessions in case of IT and/or security incidents on the CCB’s IT systems.

Support the IT Manager and CSO in defining a strategic vision for CCB IT and security.

Organize knowledge-sharing sessions to improve CCB colleagues’ IT knowledge on different IT topics or on specific existing or future solutions.

Participate in meetings to which he/she is invited.

Assist in setting up good IT governance processes, and in creating a RACI.

1.3. Profile Description
1.3.1. Technical Competencies

Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.

Familiarity with multi cloud-based and hybrid environments.

Familiarity with concepts such as DevOps, development pipeline, feature toggles, continuous delivery, continuous integration, continuous testing, high availability.

Familiarity with various standards, communication protocols, and securing communication and protocols.

General knowledge of IT architecture and application architecture.

General knowledge of all types of infrastructure (classic Data center, cloud environments, hybrid environments, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, DCaaS, etc.)

General knowledge and competency in networks, website management, and cybersecurity management of IT solutions.

General knowledge of development methods and environments.
-
You have a good knowledge of networks (switching, routing, security).

1.3.3. Professional Experience

Master’s degree, preferably in IT, or equivalent experience.

At least 10 years of professional experience as an IT Architect.

A minimum total of 12 years of professional experience in IT is required.
