The Client outlines the strategic vision of the European Commission to foster the internal development and use of lawful, safe and trustworthy Artificial Intelligence systems.

It includes concrete actions about how the Commission will build institutional and operational capacity to ensure safe, transparent, and human-centered use of AI in its work. It is in this context that the Client provides generative AI services to the European Commission, as a gateway to novel opportunities within the administration.

💼 Your Role

As an Expert in AI/NLP/ML, these are the main tasks that you'll be responsible for:

• Support the Generative AI team in the context of application architecture and system design
• Define & maintain an architectural vision & overview of the applications landscape and registry of design related artefacts
• Analyze gen AI architecture for consistency, completeness, accuracy and reasonableness
• Oversee, monitor and report on vendor and contractor technical implementation activities
• Establish quality control mechanisms and implement actions to maintain architectural consistency across the application landscape
• Coordinate the architectural discussions with other Commission stakeholders
• Contribute with architectural advice to Commission projects that make use of the applications horizontal solutions

🛠️ What You'll Bring

✅ Technical Skills:

• Extensive experience in Solution Architecture and System Design for large-scale IT projects
• Experience in the EU organizations
• Deep knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning principles
• AI frameworks (Haystack, Langchain, etc…)
• Software requirements engineering
• Python and other programming languages
• GIT, GitLab, Jira, Confluence and other development tools
• API driven architecture
• Single Page Application
• Backend for Fronted
• DBMS (PostgreSQL)
• Search engines (Elastic Search, etc)
• Good knowledge of Quality procedures, information systems governance and cloud technologies
• A great knowledge of AI/ML technologies
• Ability to follow the emerging technologies and solutions in the gen AI domain
• Being able to establish high-level vision regarding the architectural landscape

🎓 Education & Certifications:

• Master's degree in a related field
• Certifications in Data Science and Machine Learning, particularly related to AI/ML with Python

🗣️ Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English - Level C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing

🤝 Soft Skills:

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal communication.
• Attention to details.
• Good problem-solving skills
