ABOUT THE POSITION

Coordinating, organizing, and optimizing technical processes, fields, and projects, providing specialized advice, and developing safety guidelines within your own area(s) of expertise, with the aim of improving operational efficiency in the medium term, further deepening knowledge within your own specialization, and ensuring safety.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Proactively identifying optimization opportunities in collaboration with various internal and/or external stakeholders with the aim of mapping out and initiating improvements and/or projects.
  • Mapping and applying internal and external lessons learned and best practices in the context of improvements.
  • Monitoring, adjusting, and optimizing (process) installations.
  • Preparing technical and/or operational documents.

  • Preparing, guiding, and executing in-depth and specialized calculations, analyses, and/or research in the context of issues and/or projects with the aim of enabling adjustments and innovations and contributing to optimizations.

  • Designing installations and processes.
  • Developing new models and/or methodologies.
  • Drafting, verifying, and adjusting various memos, files, studies, and working methods.

  • Developing technical solutions and specifications in the context of projects and/or issues with the aim of meeting improvement needs.

  • Translating the need into a compliant technical solution.
  • Developing and implementing action plans and/or innovative developments.
  • Preparing reports and recommendations and gathering the necessary information.

  • Conducting and/or participating in risk analyses and establishing safety measures in the context of projects, changes, and/or periodic reviews to contribute to the safety of installations and/or the broader working environment.

  • Conducting and/or participating in HAZOP, FMEA, SWIFT, MOC, …

  • Leading, organizing, and adjusting projects, as well as reporting in order to realize activities in line with predetermined deadlines, budgets, project objectives, and quality requirements.

  • Creating and monitoring project schedules, as well as monitoring and reporting on the project budget.
  • Setting up consultation structures with various stakeholders and preparing reports.
  • Coordinating the project from the initial phase to the closing phase according to the applicable PMO procedure.

  • Continuously analyzing and providing the necessary project, maintenance, and/or framework contracts in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, as well as being able to act as a lead official with the aim of always acting in compliance with laws and regulations and minimizing legal risks.

  • Developing A-Z and/or coordinating the preparation of tender documents, taking into account the correct technical specifications.
  • Guiding and contributing to the award process.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting assignments.

  • Providing in-depth technical advice and acting as an expert within your own area of specialization to internal and external stakeholders, as well as monitoring achievements with the aim of technically supporting stakeholders and facilitating analyses, projects, and activities based on your own substantive knowledge.

  • Safeguarding the maintainability, safety, availability, and/or reliability of technical installations and processes in the long term, both in the context of studies and in the field.
  • Preparing and monitoring the content, accuracy, and completeness of acceptance criteria and files (including project files, permit files, safety files, construction files, recognition files, maintenance/operations files, etc.).
  • Designing and realizing installations according to a TCO principle and taking into account incident investigations and best practices.

  • Acting as a knowledge carrier for the specialization within the organization in order to centralize, standardize, safeguard, and share specific knowledge and information within the organization.

  • Keeping knowledge up to date and continuously expanding it (attending conferences and/or fairs, keeping up with standards and legislation, etc.), as well as ensuring the safeguarding and sharing of knowledge, for example through training sessions and toolboxes.
  • Preparing and checking specifications, standards, and processes.
  • Developing, maintaining, and contributing to the maintenance and replacement plans in the medium term within your own area(s) of specialization, including budgeting.
