To strengthen our Finance team, we are currently looking for a Financial Reporting & Quality Analyst (m/f/x)

Function Context

As a dynamic and meticulous Financial Reporting & Quality Analyst, you play a central role in the proper functioning of our Finance department. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the quality and coherence of financial reports, the coordination of accounting audits, and the continuous improvement of internal processes.

What exactly do you do as a Financial Reporting & Quality Analyst?

• You centralize the audit requests from the Court of Audit.
• You coordinate and collect responses from your colleagues and ensure that they are of good quality and carefully archived.
• You manage the monthly and annual reporting of accounts to the federal government.
• You prepare the annual accounts in the format of the general accounting plan of the federal government.
• You are the point of contact for all matters relating to the accounting plan.
• You prepare memos explaining the differences between the statutory accounts and the reporting to the federal government.
• You manage the monthly ‘budget versus actual results’ reporting to the federal government.
• You validate the additional reports prepared by your colleague before they are sent to the government.
• You are responsible for the follow-up and implementation of the recommendations arising from the reports of the Court of Audit.
• You are the reference person for coordinating questions arising from quality audits.
• You assist in drafting manuals for updating procedures within the team and organizing shared spaces and systems.
• You also check the periodic report on performance indicators prepared by your colleagues.

What skills do you need to successfully complete this mission?

• You have a good knowledge of the financial field and preferably of audits, thanks to a master's degree with a financial orientation (finance, accounting, management sciences, etc.). Ideally, you have several years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• You are interested in the management of radioactive waste and the social mission of NIRAS, and are particularly interested in the regulatory aspects of this management (laws, royal decrees, guidelines, standards, etc.).
• You enjoy organizing, proactively following up on matters and setting priorities when necessary.
• You like to analyze and synthesize information, and enjoy project management.
• You are skilled in drafting internal procedures and reports.
• As an experienced professional, you work independently. At the same time, you enjoy working in a team to achieve common goals.
• You like taking initiative, seek versatility in your work, and enjoy tackling challenges.
• You have a command of Dutch or French and a practical knowledge of the other national language.
• You have a good knowledge of computer applications (MS Office) and accounting applications.
