Job Description

As part of your mission, you will become one of the key players in a new development initiative aiming to implement a CMS-type (Case Management System) platform as a web solution, in order to address a critical operational need from the perspective of international police cooperation.

This new solution will be based on the most modern web application technologies, with a technology stack built on a microservices architecture, micro frontends, containerized, highly available, and scalable. The entire project will be developed using agile methods, in particular Scrum.

You will be assigned as a Frontend specialist for the development of a client solution specialized in the management of operational cases dedicated to the processing of international police information. You will become one of the key players in the implementation of this new application, based on the most modern technologies in web development.

Initially, efforts will focus on implementing a basic layer covering the common needs of the various functionalities. Subsequently, specialized modules will be added to meet specific needs and the requirements of the different European entities that must be integrated into the developed solution.

On the backend side, the solution is organized around a set of central services accessible via an integration layer. The client application you will be working on is therefore just one of the solutions using this service catalog.

From an infrastructure point of view, the execution of the various clients and services is based on a containerized, highly available, and scalable approach, all provisioned using an “Infrastructure as Code” (IaC) method.

The project is managed using agile methods, in particular Scrum.

Main Tasks

During the first phase of your mission, you will be required to:

  • Review the existing situation and familiarize yourself with the business environment.
  • Integrate the various services in order to collect, persist, and modify the data used by your client application.
  • Model the different entities, taking into account best practices regarding data standardization.
  • Implement user interfaces in accordance with designs provided by the UX/UI Designer, using a modular approach.
  • Implement unit tests and integration tests on the client side.
  • Version your source code, generate pull requests, and perform code reviews before integrating into the main branch.
  • Work in an agile manner, focusing on planned tasks, meeting deadlines, and adapting your developments to changes in direction.

During the second phase, you will be required to maintain the developed solution according to the principles mentioned above. This includes regularly updating integrated technologies, monitoring new technologies, and implementing new features or modules requested by users.
