Functional Analyst

Contribute to the success of Securex and its clients!

Are you passionate about the combination of business on the one hand and IT & Software on the other? Then this position is for you!

POSITION

  • As a functional analyst, you play an active role in the realization of various business/IT projects. You are the link between the demand process (business requirements & project definition) and the delivery process (development & realization of IT applications). In this way, you are involved from the very start in the realization of tooling that creates added value for clients and the business.
  • You work together with domain architects and product owners to better understand business requirements and processes and translate them into functional components and functional analyses. You use story mapping to convert features into stories, thus providing structure and a clear overview.
  • You ensure an iterative elaboration, refinement, and description of the functionalities to be built. You detail stories in a clear manner, understandable for both the business and the technical team.
  • You are part of an analysis team of about twenty people and always work in small project teams where you closely follow the development of the application. You work one sprint ahead of the development teams so that your input can flow into the development. After development, you can validate the functionalities through testing and control.
  • You work closely with the various players in a project team such as product owners, project managers, SCRUM masters, architects, software engineers, UX designers, etc.

PROFILE

  • You have a natural talent for working on a detailed level, but are pragmatic enough not to fall into analysis paralysis. You use your creativity and innovative mindset to develop practical solutions.
  • With your holistic view, identifying, understanding, and documenting processes and structures is your passion, and you possess a solid background in techniques for this or are willing to learn them (User story mapping, User story writing, UML, BPMN, Domain modeling, ...). You have the necessary communication skills to gather the information needed from both the business and the IT team to arrive at the most optimal solution.
  • You have a critical mind and are not afraid to challenge both business and IT regarding the added value of requested changes or extensions.
  • You have knowledge of or experience with agile methodologies, values, and principles.
  • You are punctual and able to organize your work independently.
  • You are a real team player and have a hands-on and proactive attitude towards both your team and the business.
  • Preferably, in addition to a good command of Dutch, you also have knowledge of English and French.
