Demonstrable experience as a functional analyst with large business-critical applications.
Demonstrable experience in technical environments in which the projects are situated
Knowledge and experience of data and process modeling techniques and tools.
Demonstrable experience of requirement analysis & design concepts for OO, multi-tier and web-enabled, and/or UML environments
Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2.

Context/Requirements

As an analyst, you are part of a motivated team responsible for the optimal organization and support of administrative processes, at the application, process, and business levels, all within an agile context.
As an analyst, you are involved in various changes and projects to analyze and improve business processes in the domains of education, research, and business operations. It is your role to capture business needs and translate them into processes and applications. You translate business needs into stories, whereby you not only feed the product backlog but also ensure that this backlog is a workable tool for the entire team. Throughout this, you pay particular attention to knowledge retention and sharing. You are therefore the main point of contact for helpdesk staff, key users, developers, and testers.

Specifically, your responsibilities include, among others:

• Building up and actively maintaining customer knowledge (‘knowing the customer’);
• Helping the business translate their needs into features and stories, including performing impact analyses;
• Coordinating and handling incidents and features together with the team;
• Analyzing business processes and procedures and modifying them according to agreed best practices;
• Mapping out and keeping business processes up to date;
• Facilitating business process workshops in support of the Process Owners;
• Translating business processes into software;
• Guiding key users during user acceptance testing;
• Collaborating with the Product Manager, developers, and testers to make the application more efficient, better, and more user-friendly;
• Assisting the Product Manager in defining and realizing the objectives from the roadmap, with maximum focus on supporting the end user.

For this position, Brussels Humanities, Sciences & Engineering Campus (Ixelles) will be your home base, in combination with remote work.
