Functional – Technical Analyst
General context
The organization operates in a complex technological environment combining a legacy application landscape with modern components. The context includes a structural transformation of the IT landscape, modernization of architectures, reduction of technical debt, adoption of the Cloud, and compliance with regulatory requirements, notably NIS2.
The existing applications cover critical domains such as unemployment regulation (toelaatbaarheid, payments, debt management, financial and accounting processing). Part of these systems relies on legacy technologies, while new Cloud/hybrid architectures are emerging. The architect plays a key role in harmonizing, securing, and ensuring coherence across these architectures.
Main responsibilities
1. Support for development teams
-
Perform functional analyses with a technical touch within business projects.

Advise on integrations, data models, performance, and scalability.

Support the team in the adoption of technologies and architectural patterns.

Initiate or validate Proof-of-Concepts.
2. Governance and quality
-
Organize and lead design reviews.

Ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices.
-
Continuously improve the maintainability, security, and decoupling of systems.

Document
3. Collaboration and change management
-
Ensure communication between business, development, security, and infrastructure teams.

Explain technical choices in a clear and accessible manner.

Support collective decision-making and manage the convergence of visions.

Contribute to the upskilling of teams.
4. Expertise and problem solving

Analyze and solve business problems.

Ensure the coherence of legacy and modern components.
5. Vision and design
-
Translate enterprise directions into concrete technical models.

Design aligned, high-performance, and maintainable application and data architectures.

Ensure that decisions support business objectives.
6. Security, compliance, and resilience
-
Integrate security from the design phase (security by design).
-
Translate NIS2 requirements into concrete technical measures.
-
Promote secure coding practices and mechanisms for monitoring and auditability.
