The HDA is looking for a Health Data System Engineer to support its activities within the framework of the EHDS regulation. The HDA must ensure that the EHDS regulation is further implemented in Belgium.

Specifically, the HDA is seeking profiles that can support the implementation of the necessary technical capabilities to comply with the aforementioned regulation and policy.

Areas of expertise:

• Gathering user requirements: The system engineer can identify the corresponding functional requirements based on the needs and wishes of various user groups and subsequently translate these into technical requirements.

• In-depth knowledge of various technologies: The system engineer has extensive experience with technical development around APIs (REST, GraphQL), Drupal, ServiceNow, Datahub, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Docker, Collibra, Python, SQL. This experience ranges from configuring Infrastructure-as-Code to configuring and deploying applications and custom development around these applications.

• Migration of existing data: The system engineer can map data from existing inventories to a new (meta)data model and support the migration of this data between systems.

• Positioning within the application landscape: The system engineer takes into account the positioning of components within the broader architecture and application landscape of the HDA, both with regard to general services and integration.

• Experience: The system engineer has demonstrable experience in successful system development within a federated environment, including gathering user requirements. The system engineer can also demonstrate understanding of the operation of the HDA and the complex healthcare stakeholder landscape.
