IAM SCIM integration expert

Context

NIHDI is seeking to complete an integration between One Identity Manager 9.2.2 and Appian’s low code platform (v 25.3), both hosted on-premises, using System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM). The goal is to enable the appropriate projections to the Appian platform based on defined business role assignments and removals. NIHDI is looking for additional support from a Subject Matter Expert to successfully complete this integration.

Roles and Responsibilities

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in implementing and/or supporting the following One Identity Manager activities:

One Identity development activities:

  • Analyse and design integration patterns, primarily using SCIM
  • Update joiner, mover, and leaver workflows to adapt them based on SCIM integration
  • Excellent working (hands-on) knowledge of One Identity Manager and Designer tool
  • Hands-on experience with OIM RestAPI
  • Implementing synchronization projects
  • Implementing workflows
  • Experience implementing the integration of One Identity Manager solution set for an organization with a similar complexity to NIHDI (~1500 employees across 8 different departments)
  • Application onboarding experience in IAM tools is beneficial
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of LDAP concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of and working experience with Microsoft Active Directory authentication, Group Policy Objects, including design, configuration, and deployment
  • Working knowledge and good understanding of ADFS, Kerberos, NTLM, OAuth, SAML, SCIM, and other authentication methods and security concepts
  • Experience with integrating cloud systems via the Universal Cloud Interface and Cloud Systems Management modules
  • Good understanding of common issues that arise in identity management implementations and solution approaches to address them

Ability to guide and deliver design, development, and support of Identity and Access Management solutions, including:

  • Provisioning/de-provisioning workflows
  • Analytics
  • Highly Privileged Accounts
  • Single Sign-On
  • Directory
  • API Management
  • ETL

  • Ability to understand customer scenarios and requirements (including integration situations) and suggest appropriate solutions

  • Responsible for ensuring the appropriate collection and analysis of technical functional requirements based on critical client IAM use cases and expectations
  • Responsible for generating client delivery documentation, such as:
  • Technical requirement design documents
  • BPMN diagrams
  • Technical component presentations
  • 5+ years experience working with relational databases (MS SQL)
  • 3+ years experience and exposure in RBAC
  • Ensures successful transition of project deliverables to support/maintenance/operations teams

Qualifications

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to think “out of the box”
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English, and either Dutch or French

Duration of engagement

NIHDI expects to complete the integration with a few days of Subject Matter Expert support. The engagement should not exceed 10 days (20 half days). Billing will be done based on timesheets.
