To strengthen our ICT department, we are currently looking for an ICT Solution Data and Information Architect

Purpose of the position

The ICT Solution Data and Information Architect is responsible for defining, implementing, and monitoring the technical data architecture within the organization. He/she works closely with the Enterprise Architect and the Business Information Manager to create a robust, scalable, and future-proof data landscape that supports the strategic and operational objectives of NIRAS/Belgoprocess.

Key responsibilities

  • Technical Data Architecture: Designing and maintaining the technical data architecture, including principles, standards, and guidelines for data integration, storage, modeling, and access.
  • Technical Data and Information Management: Setting up processes and systems for the management of data and information, with attention to availability, quality, security, and compliance.
  • Technical Data Management: Coordinating technical aspects of data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data lineage.
  • Technical Data Model: Developing and maintaining technical data models that align with business needs and the enterprise architecture, including relational, dimensional, and semantic models.
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Acting as a bridge between business and IT, and actively contributing to architecture boards, project teams, and data governance structures.
  • Innovation and Standardization: Identifying technological trends and translating them into concrete improvements in the data landscape, with an eye for standardization and reusability.

Required competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles, data modeling, and data management frameworks (such as DAMA-DMBOK).
  • Experience with cloud platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and integration technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and convince stakeholders at different levels.

Reporting and collaboration

  • Reports hierarchically to the Manager ICT, functionally to the Enterprise Architect, and works in tandem with the Business Information Manager.
  • Supports project teams, information & data stewards, and IT specialists in the implementation of data-related solutions.
