Hiring a medior ICT expert specializing in Linux Kubernetes for the Operations department of the Agency for Agriculture and Sea Fisheries.

Context/Requirements

The task of the medior expert Linux Kubernetes is to set up and maintain a number of systems used by the Agency for Agriculture and Sea Fisheries.
This includes daily management of the existing systems (monitoring backups and monitoring, resolving incidents, etc.), as well as designing and implementing major changes, new systems, or removing old systems.
The primary focus for this position is strongly on the further development of Kubernetes as a platform for both purchased and in-house developed applications.

Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes platform management (on-prem) and use, orchestration, and container technology are therefore necessary for this position.

The ICT expert will work within the LUNS team of IT Operations. This is a team responsible for the management of all Linux systems, all network equipment, and all storage equipment of LV. Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and Linux are by far the most important for this position, but knowledge, experience, or interest in enterprise network and storage management is also considered a plus.

Technical competencies

must have:

• Demonstrable knowledge of and demonstrable experience (3 years) with setting up, upgrading, configuring, and using a Kubernetes platform in an enterprise environment, preferably on-prem.
• Demonstrable knowledge of and demonstrable experience (3 years) with the use of Ansible configuration management in an enterprise environment.

should have:

Demonstrable knowledge and demonstrable experience with the following technologies are considered a plus:

• Linux system administration in an enterprise environment (preferably Suse Linux Enterprise Server)
• Linux scripting: bash, python, perl
• Build and release automation tools, such as Azure DevOps Server.
• Monitoring: Elastic, Nagios
• Networking in an enterprise environment: Cisco ACI, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 Big-IP.
• Storage in an enterprise environment: NetApp AFF, HPE Alletra 9000, HPE StoreOnce
