Hiring a medior ICT expert specializing in networking (F5 ADC, Palo Alto) for the Exploitation service of the Agency for Agriculture and Fisheries.

Context/Requirements

The task of the medior networking expert is to set up and maintain a number of systems used by the Agency for Agriculture and Fisheries.
This includes daily management of the existing systems (monitoring backups and system monitoring, resolving incidents, etc.) as well as designing and implementing major changes, new systems, or decommissioning old systems.

The primary focus for this position is strongly on further developing the use of network security devices: F5 Big IP ADC and Palo Alto firewalls.
In addition to networking in general, practical knowledge and experience with F5 Big IP and Palo Alto firewalls is necessary for this position.

The ICT expert will work within the LUNS team of IT exploitation. This team is responsible for the management of all Linux systems, all network equipment, and all storage equipment of LV. Knowledge and experience with network management is by far the most important for this position, but knowledge, experience, or interest in Linux system and storage management is therefore also considered an asset.

The proposed candidate must at least meet the competencies below, listed in order of importance.

Technical competencies

must have:
- Demonstrable knowledge of and demonstrable experience (3 years) with setting up, upgrading, configuring, and using F5 Big IP in an enterprise environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of and demonstrable experience (3 years) with setting up, upgrading, configuring, and using Palo Alto firewalls in an enterprise environment

should have:
Demonstrable knowledge and demonstrable experience with the following technologies are considered assets:
- Cisco datacenter networking: ACI
- Log and netflow data analysis to optimize security configurations
- Configuration management: Ansible
- Linux scripting: bash, python, perl
- Linux system administration in an enterprise environment
- Storage in an enterprise environment: NetApp AFF, HPE Alletra 9000, HPE StoreOnce

This IT exploitation service is responsible for bringing into production and maintaining the entire IT infrastructure, both in terms of software and hardware.
