Interior Project Manager

ABOUT US
You will be joining the Construction Projects department of the Facility Company, with the Herman Teirlinck building as its headquarters on the Thurn & Taxis site, Brussels. The Construction Projects department manages and coordinates construction projects from design to completion for the Flemish government, both for departments, internally autonomous agencies, and externally autonomous agencies.

The Construction Projects department consists of about 90 employees in 4 teams, supported by several internal consultants and experts in specific fields.

  • Project Support team
  • Technical Support team

As an interior Project Leader, you will be part of the Study & Coordination Construction Projects team. The team consists of approximately 36 project leaders and assistant project leaders, who work in 3 squads of about 10 colleagues each, each responsible for a sub-portfolio of projects. You will start within the squad responsible for the large (re)housing projects and interior projects within our offices.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As an interior Project Leader, you will contribute to our relocation projects, supporting the project manager of the project team in both the design and execution phases, and within the project team you will be responsible for the furniture and/or interior design work package under your care. In addition, for smaller interior projects, you will act independently as project leader.

Effective communication with clients and stakeholders is essential in this role.

You will be involved in, among others, the following challenging relocation projects:

  • Flemish Administrative Centre Antwerp
  • Etc.

Your profile:

  • You excel in office design and can create a unique atmosphere with color, materials, and furniture
  • Current trends in office design hold no secrets for you
  • You are creative and can make a big impact with limited resources
  • You value sustainability and circularity highly
  • You can independently develop design assignments
  • You have a keen eye for detail
  • You are empathetic and client-friendly, but can also assert yourself when necessary
  • Supporting the project manager in relocation projects during both the design and execution phases
  • Responsible within the project team for the furniture and/or interior design work package
  • Acting independently as project leader for smaller interior projects
  • Ensuring effective communication with clients and all stakeholders
  • Commitment to challenging relocation projects such as the Flemish Administrative Centre Antwerp

Practical information:

  • The rate can be indexed annually according to the contract’s price revision clause
  • The contract can be extended after a positive evaluation
  • There is no mileage allowance; the cost of necessary travel is included in the rate offered. Free parking is available in the Herman Teirlinck building if desired.
