IT Outsourcing Project Manager

Purpose of the role:

> The Outsourcing Application Project Manager is responsible to coordinate multiple sub-projects related to the ongoing Transition and Transformation initiative at Credendo. The Project Manager provides leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs.

> The Project Manager has ability to manage projects that require coordination of work between various parties like third party sub-contractors, the internal business partner and ICT delivery teams.

Result areas:

> Leading and organising project activities from A to Z in order to achieve the project outcomes set to meet the planned specifications.

> Define the project (structure, scope, plan and key tasks) and assist in the formulation and determination of project requirements in order to prepare the project organisation.

> Manage and deliver the project, communication boards and monitor the progress and quality of the work carried out to ensure that it produces the desired result (delivery, schedule, scope and budget).

> Through reporting and communication, keep Transition manager informed of the status of the project and any issues encountered that may impact on the project.

> Manage the project team (external supplier) and follow-up meetings to ensure effective communication between project team members and take appropriate action.

> Use appropriate reporting tools drawn from PMO’s Project Management Framework guidelines to inform management and stakeholders.

> Ensures proper governance is in place to best meet project objectives.

> Analyse risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action.

Qualifications required to succeed in this role:

  • >5 years of project management experience in project implementations using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams.
  • Use of project management/project planning tools (e.g. MS Project, PlanView, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.
  • Able to work autonomously with little supervision of management.
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
