Defence is expanding its datacenter and IT capacity to increase the resilience and availability of critical data. To achieve this, we are looking for an IT Procurement & Program Manager with a technical IT background to support the Materiel Managers in translating long-term objectives into technical, organizational, and contractual aspects within the framework of public procurement.

The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience in the IT, telecommunications (TelCo), and datacenter domain, including knowledge of the market and local players, and possesses a solid understanding of the technical components and building blocks of a datacenter and telecommunications network. He/she can translate complex and forward-looking needs into contemporary, market-compliant solutions, and contributes to overarching governance models and frameworks, with command of the guidelines and options regarding Belgian and European public procurement legislation.

The candidate can substantiate their recent procurement and IT management experience in IT, TelCo and/or datacenter programs through relevant job descriptions on their CV. He/she can also translate previous experiences with IT Project Management and governance programs into clearly delineated definitions and embed these in a reusable framework. Knowledge of the environment and processes of Defence and/or Federal government services is a valuable additional asset.

The candidate may be French-speaking or Dutch-speaking. So, for languages, it is French OR Dutch but absolutely English.

This is an assignment of 2 days per week (2/5).
