IT Project Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IT Project Manager to oversee and coordinate multiple staff and equipment moves across our campus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Plan, execute, and oversee the relocation of staff and IT equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various departments, including IT and facilities, to ensure smooth transitions and address any concerns.
- Logistics Management: Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues that arise.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with external vendors to ensure timely delivery and setup of IT equipment and services.
- Compliance: Ensure all moves comply with company policies and relevant regulations, including data security and health and safety standards.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the relocation process.
Team Leadership Skills:
- Leadership: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality results.
- Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise within the team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Required Technical Skills:
- IT Infrastructure: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in using project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IT equipment and systems.
- Vendor Management: Experience in managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Documentation: Excellent documentation skills, including the ability to create detailed project plans, reports, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in IT project management, preferably with experience in managing relocations or similar projects.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Attributes: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Schedule:
- This mission is on a fixed budget for year 2025. Based on daily rates, we are open to a flexible work schedule, with a minimum of 5 days per week.
- This particular position requires a minimum of 4 days worked in the office per week.
