IT Test Manager

The main responsibility of the Senior IT Test Manager is to ensure the management of testing using the defined Vivaqua test strategy, across multiple strategic business-IT projects in various domains (finance, logistics, maintenance, production, human resources, …)

These tasks are carried out using various technologies such as SAP ECC, SAP IS-U, Geode, Windev, M365 tools like Sharepoint, PowerApps and PowerAutomate, SAG, … He/she will also be responsible for the setup and administration of JIRA, Vivaqua’s test management tool, using best practices.

In this role, he/she:

  • is capable of implementing a defined test strategy and a testing approach for a project as well as for changes to the current solution.
  • drafts an integrated test plan with the support of the project manager and/or functional consultants and business representatives.
  • sets up and manages the monitoring of tests and identified defects (including tracking the resolution of defects).
  • defines the scope and schedule of the different test phases and implements detailed test tracking (real-time dashboard).
  • monitors the development of various test scenarios based on the blueprint of a project and provides assistance in their execution when necessary.
  • tracks the progress of tests versus the schedule and reports defects, including related risks, and reports to the IT PM and the project Steering Committee.
  • ensures that documentation and training are aligned with testing needs.
  • verifies that all relevant applications and interfaces are tested to guarantee “no” regression after go-live.
  • becomes familiar with VIVAQUA’s applications (SAP ECC, SAP ISU, …).

Expected deliverables are:

  • a test approach and planning for the various SAP projects at Vivaqua.
  • a library of test scenarios (positive and negative).
  • a list of acceptance criteria.
  • a test approach and solution.
  • reporting of test results as well as defects and related actions using the JIRA tool.
  • test monitoring and acceptance reports.
  • comprehensive documentation to be reused in the future.

Enhanced requirements on JIRA (advanced expertise)

The Test Manager must have advanced expertise in JIRA, including:

  • configuration and administration of JIRA projects.
  • design and optimization of workflows (conditions, validators, post-functions).
  • creation of dashboards and real-time reports for monitoring tests and defects.
  • use of test management extensions such as Xray, Zephyr or equivalent.
  • management of permissions, screens, schemes, and notifications. Demonstrated experience in JIRA administration is highly desired.

Methodological skills (ISTQB + test management)

An ISTQB Foundation certification is required; ISTQB Test Manager / Advanced certification is a major asset. The consultant must master test methodologies (V-Model, Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), quality risk management, definition of test KPIs, as well as the implementation of a structured testing governance.

Specific SAP skills required –> QUESTION

The consultant must have a good understanding of SAP ECC6 processes, ideally in the FI/CO, MM, SD, PP modules, as well as inter-module integration testing. Knowledge of SAP interfaces (IDoc, RFC, PI/PO, API) is an asset. He/she must be able to analyze an SAP blueprint, identify the impacts on testing, and define relevant E2E scenarios.

Essential soft skills for a senior role

The consultant must demonstrate:

  • excellent oral and written communication.
  • an ability to challenge IT and business teams.
  • natural leadership in coordinating test phases.
  • a strong quality focus and documentary rigor.
  • an ability to manage conflicts and arbitrate priorities.
  • complete autonomy in planning and executing testing activities.

Throughout your assignment, you comply with GDPR, ISO27001 and NIS2 rules.

Mission execution modalities:

The designated consultant will be assigned full-time to the execution of the contract and may potentially provide 440 man-days spread over approximately 2 years, based on a 40-hour work week, during VIVAQUA’s business days.

The services will be carried out at least 3 days per week onsite at the VIVAQUA Headquarters, potentially on a non-continuous basis, unless expressly exempted by the Head of the IT Department.

The consultant is informed that he/she is not authorized to work overtime or outside office hours (Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm) without the express authorization of VIVAQUA.

The designated consultant must take into account the needs for continuity of VIVAQUA's service and the constraints related to the projects it manages when planning leave and will agree in advance with the Managing Officer on this matter.

The designated consultant must comply with the provisions of the “Code of Conduct for External Providers” of VIVAQUA.

The assignment may be renewed for a maximum duration (initial period included) of: 880 business days.
