Context:
The Facilities team consists of several agile teams, including the Post-out team, which has about 7 members. This team manages all outgoing communication to our 4.5 million members, via email, SMS, letters, Doccle, ... this includes about 80 million communications per year. For this, we use a Document Management System called Papyrus and Comform; these are critical components for multiple business domains. Upgrades to the latest version must be performed, the old system must be phased out, and numerous test scenarios must be executed and coordinated.

Challenge:

• Speaks Dutch or French as a native language with very good additional knowledge of Dutch/French and English.
• Very strong and advanced technical analysis skills
• Experience working in an Agile environment and scrum team and as a scrum master.
• Work location: 1 day Schaarbeek, 4 days homeworking.

Responsibilities:

• As Scrum master: (30%)

• Coaching and supporting the team in further implementing the Scrum methodology. In other words, organizing and leading all Agile ceremonies (stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review, demos, story-mapping, …) and steering the team towards qualitative and timely delivery of the project within the agreed arrangements and budgets. People management skills and “management by objectives” are indispensable here.

• Close daily cooperation with PO and business project leader

• Facilitating the team and proactively inquiring

• As Developer (70%)

• You communicate efficiently with the various stakeholders (functional analysts, solution architect) so that they perfectly understand the priorities of the tasks.

• You ensure that your code is fully covered with unit tests.
• You are able to make technical improvement proposals and defend them to the solution architect.
• You support the tester during functional testing.
• You analyze integrations with other parties and systems.
• You are able to develop the technical design based on a functional analysis.
• You work together with infrastructure staff to install the applications and monitor their operation.

• You document your software thoroughly, without getting bogged down in details.

• Side tasks:

• During development, you must work closely with the solution architect, analysts, and testers so that functionalities are correctly implemented and tested.

Profile

• You have thorough knowledge of Quarkus, JSP, SQL, JAVA 8 & higher, XML, XSD, Webservices (SOAP & REST), EJB, SOA, Jenkins, OpenShift
• You have knowledge of the following tools: Weblogic, Maven, Nexus, GIT, …
• Knowledge of Outsystems is a plus.
• You have experience in the development and application maintenance of enterprise-class systems.
• You have experience in Agile methodologies
• You are critical and possess good analytical and synthesis skills
