Lead Senior Functional Analyst

Fednot is the Federation of Belgian Notaries. Our mission is to support over 1,100 notary offices and approximately 8,000 notary employees with legal expertise, management advice, IT solutions, training, and information for the general public. As a division of Fednot, the ICT service unit develops innovative solutions that support notaries in their digital transformation journey and improve the overall user experience for notaries and their customers. We develop and deliver software that covers all notary domains (real estate, enterprise, family, etc.) and are based on state-of-the-art technologies.

The job:

As a Senior Functional Analyst you are part of the product team and you tune in with all stakeholders.

You are end-to-end responsible for the user stories:

  • Refine EPICs into user stories: Take the lead in user story mapping process (+ prioritisation)
  • User Story writing and validation in collaboration with product manager
  • User Story refinement in collaboration with the DEV-team
  • Validation once developed (Check match with acceptance criteria)

Technical skills. You have

  • A minimum and recent experience of 7 years working years as a Functional Analyst (minimum 2 years as senior)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Some technical background and familiarity with Rest API, Swagger, event-driven architecture
  • Recent experiences with:
  • Agile | Scrum
  • Jira | Confluence
  • UML (UML-diagrams, data modelling)
  • Able to create wireframes with Figma using best practices in UX-design

Softskills. You are

  • Mature communication skills with the ability to drive constructive discussions in a respectful manner
  • Able to explain complex matters in an easy way

Where are you going to work

1000 Brussels & Homeworking: 40% in the office on Monday (fixed day), Wednesday or Friday + 60% homeworking

  • Startdate: 14/07/2025
  • Enddate: 31/12/2025
  • Interview process: 2 rounds
  • 1st round of 1 hour with the Team Lead and the HR (via Teams) – Please note that only the presence of the candidate is accepted
  • 2nd round of 1 hour for a more technical interview with the N+2 (interview onsite) – Please note that only the presence of the candidate is accepted
