Role: Local Windows System Administrator - European Commission

Location:
Brussels, Belgium - European Commission

Responsibilities

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

• Administration of systems or applications with local impact
• Installation and configuration of system components and server software
• Integration of servers in local environment
• Monitoring of servers
• Incident analysis and resolution, problem definition, analysis and resolution: preliminary diagnosis of software and hardware problems, co-ordination with other IT departments and with 3rd party maintenance contractors
• Maintenance of the server procedures manual and disaster recovery plans related to managed systems and applications
• User administration and user right management in a Windows environment
• Monitoring and administration of local "print and file" servers
• Handling of backups and restore operations (user and configuration data)
• Monitoring and administration of network resources like shared printers network drives, SharePoint resources etc.

Requirements

Following skills are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

• Great understanding and experience with advanced IT product (HW/SW)
• Great experience in MS Windows Server, MS Office Applications, SharePoint services, network storage and associated management technologies
• Experience writing documentation and user guide
• Experience providing support on all types of mobile devices and OS
• Good experience with devices maintenance such as update, testing and configuration
• Good experience managing iTunes/Apple Configurator
• Highly autonomous and IT skilled in IT management tools

Certifications:

• IT ITIL V4 Foundation certified

Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English - Level C1/C2 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
• Good knowledge of French - Level B2/C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
