Context

The National Lottery is undergoing a major transformation in which the current gaming systems are being progressively replaced. In this context, we are looking for an experienced Backend Solution Expert with in-depth knowledge of the lottery environment and the current Brightstar Lottery solutions.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a strategic program within the National Lottery, where the consultant will play a key role in ensuring the continuity of the current systems and will contribute to the successful transition to a new generation of the gaming platform.

Responsibilities

1. Production Systems Support

• Coordinate and manage changes within the current gaming environment
• Ensure the stability and continuity of production activities
• Support the controlled decommissioning of legacy components in line with the migration roadmap

2. Test Environment Management

• Manage and maintain lottery test environments
• Support production activities and integrations with new systems
• Ensure that test environments accurately reflect production configurations when required
• Coordinate the availability of test platforms with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors

3. Migration Testing Support

• Provide active support during the different testing phases within the migration program:
• System Integration Testing (SIT)
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Pre-production validation
• Facilitate the transition from legacy systems to the new platform
• Identify and resolve defects at an early stage
• Contribute to readiness for production deployments

Required Competencies

Lottery & Business Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge (minimum 10 years) of:
• Draw games, instant scratch games, and digital instant games
• Different sales channels (Retail, digital B2C and B2B)

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of the current Brightstar Lottery gaming systems.
• Knowledge of / experience with:
• Central game system (ES platforms): game lifecycle of draw & scratch games
• Business Object (ES-BI)
• For multi-jurisdictional games, integration with the dedicated lottery community systems (SLE and Viking Lotto)
• Retail Channel and Management + Terminals and connectivity WAN
• Digital Channel (i-Lottery): Play Command, Player Wallet, Draw game integration, various RGS integration, etc.
• Integrations between the lottery gaming systems and the different lottery IT system including Microsoft 365, SAP S/4HANA, WareHouse Management system, etc.

Testing & Migration

• Strong expertise in testing within lottery gaming systems
• Experience in planning and coordinating testing activities in lottery migration projects
