Middleware Services Product Owner
The Middleware Services team is currently responsible for the following portfolio of platform services:
- Messaging Services (RedHat AMQ, IBM MQSeries)
- Routing Services (load-balancing, access control, WAF)
- Log Centralisation Services
- Hosting Services (Weblogic, Oracle Service Bus)
- API Gateway Service
The team’s activities include both operational aspects (lifecycle, change, incident management) and development (service improvement, automation).
As Middleware Services Product Owner, you will support the team through:
- Backlog management: create, clarify, maintain and prioritize backlog items and organize releases
- Stakeholder communication: capture needs, gather feedback, liaise between the team and other stakeholder to ensure clear understanding and alignment
- Team support: organize and guide the day-to-day functioning of the team, balancing operational and development efforts and coaching towards autonomy
- Quality assurance, with specific attention to the non-functional aspects of providing large-scale services
- Facilitate vision and strategy definition
In order to succeed, you will need the following:
- Strong technical/analytical skills
- Management skills (Agile practices)
- Excellent communication skills (translate between detailed/technical and higher-level – and vice versa)
- Customer focus
- Leadership talent (ownership, people management, coaching)
The mission will be until 31/03/2026, afterwards possibly to be extended with 3 or 6 months.
