.NET Developer (Medior)

The external collaborator will contribute as a Developer to the further expansion and development of the Verenigingsregister and Organisatieregister within Digitaal Vlaanderen.

The assignment includes expanding and developing the Verenigingsregister with additional functionalities. The developer will also contribute ideas regarding certain technological choices and the development of extra features.

Demonstrable experience in the development of .NET-based applications
Demonstrable training with certification or equivalent through experience in programming languages and environments such as .NET (C#), ASP.NET, ...
Demonstrable experience in carrying out programming tasks very smoothly: coding, testing, and debugging. If necessary, also fully independently (e.g., maintenance).
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Agile development methodology
Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2.

Context/Requirements

Digitaal Vlaanderen's mission is to build a coherent, government-wide information policy and to support and help realize the transition of the Flemish government to an information-driven government. The products and services of the agency are divided into programs to maximize synergies through this program-based approach and to offer optimal service to our VO partners. Digitaal Vlaanderen is a digitalization agency of the Flemish government dedicated to the digital transformation of services and collaboration between governments, citizens, and businesses. We support and guide Flemish and local governments in their digital transformation and their pursuit of the government of tomorrow.

Business Context

The assignment is situated within the Data Platform department, more specifically the Basic Registers team of Digitaal Vlaanderen. This department is responsible for developing, managing, and providing access to central data registers that support the digital services of the Flemish government.

The Organisatieregister and Verenigingsregister are crucial components within this data infrastructure. They provide reliable and up-to-date information about organizations and associations that are relevant for policy-making, subsidization, and administrative processes.

This assignment contributes to the broader objective of Digitaal Vlaanderen to offer efficient, secure, and interoperable digital services to citizens, companies, and governments.

Technical context

Within the teams, an Agile Scrum methodology is used. As a developer, you will work closely with the other members of the multidisciplinary team. You actively participate in the Scrum meetings and work proactively with the other team members towards achieving the sprint goals.

The development of our software mainly takes place through pair programming.

As a developer, you are responsible for the implementation of a number of technical solutions. The required skills and experience are described below.
