The Systems division is part of the Directorate of Police Information & ICT (DRI) and the Digital Transformation Office (DTO).

The division is responsible for:

• The networks (LAN-WAN-WiFi)
• The telephony systems
• The servers
• The datacenter infrastructure
• Database management
• Security on ICT systems
• ICT architecture

for the GPI (integrated police)

Project

Project SD-WAN

Migration of the operational police network (+/- 700 sites) from a technology based on FlexVPN to SD-WAN. Implementation of 3 underlays (MPLS, internet and 4-5G).

Mission

Implementation of the SD-WAN project:

Migration of the FlexVPN infrastructure to SD-WAN:

• Planning and coordinating the migration per site, with minimal downtime.
• Documenting the network architecture: Documenting the network design, configurations, and procedures.
• Enabling monitoring: Activating monitoring on the new network.
• Resolving network incidents: Troubleshooting network incidents during and after the rollout.
• Monitoring and optimizing performance: Continuously monitoring traffic flow and quality of service (QoS/routing) after migration.
• Collaboration with stakeholders: Collaborating with internal teams (network and security team) and external supplier/provider.

Terms of employment: presence at the office at least 2 times per week depending on the tasks and in consultation with the team, telework allowed (in Belgium)
