Cegeka is looking for an experienced Network & Security Engineer with data center experience for a long-term assignment at FOD Financiën. Specifically, we are seeking candidates with practical experience in SDWAN/network segmentation/Cisco ACI.

The network engineer is responsible for the management of the network facilities of FOD Financiën. A consultant-engineer is expected to be able to tackle complex problems, independently implement new technologies, and have an impact on improving existing network implementations. To do this, the network engineer works together with the network team, the architecture team, and with external partners. The assignment is mainly focused on Cisco ACI, Fortinet, Meraki Wifi & MX, and VMware NSX-t.

• Translating the general planning into concrete action plans;
• Ensuring transparent communication about the status of IT projects to the hierarchy/client and the project team;
• Assisting management in decisions regarding IT investments with detailed technical architecture proposals;
• Following up assignments in SNOW;
• In case of service interruption, collaborating with the Service Operation teams to find solutions and ensuring that the required ICT services are restored. This ensures the continuity of the organization's operations.

List of technical competencies / List required technical competencies

• Good knowledge of Network Load Balancers (Citrix Netscaler, AVI, …);
• Familiarity with the operation and management of Cisco ACI and the APIC console;
• Experience with Meraki Wifi installations.

Profile

• At least 10 years of Cisco network management experience
• Experience with network segmentation North/South and East/West
• Solid knowledge of Linux
• Solid knowledge of scripting (bash, python, ansible, …)
• Experience with Firewalls (Fortigate, Meraki MX)
• Solid knowledge of IoT
• Solid knowledge of Software Defined Networking (ACI, NSX-t, …)
• Knowledge of the tools used within Service Operations (Service NOW, JIRA, Cacti, Instana)
• Knowledge of English and at least one of the official national languages
