In this context, the General Directorate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is responsible for everything related to IT and telecommunication support for the organization in carrying out the missions of the FPS Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, covering aspects such as infrastructure, software, and IT security. This is a dynamic and innovative environment that takes on challenges to provide modern and secure applications and support to our internal services and citizens.
Given the sensitive nature of the FPS Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, every staff member is required to demonstrate reliability and adhere to ethical standards. He/she must also know, respect, and apply security rules to ensure the continuity of the organization as well as the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the processed data.
A PMO staff member is a person who fulfills a structuring and supporting role in the execution of projects. Their role consists of defining and implementing standardized project management methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure coherence and efficiency across all internal projects. The PMO staff member thus supports each project manager by ensuring a transversal follow-up of several projects. He/she guarantees the proper coordination of the different stakeholders in a project. He/she ensures that all important steps follow one another optimally to achieve the set objectives.
General tasks and responsibilities:
- Establishing and/or improving PMO management processes/procedures and tools
- Ensuring that these procedures and tools are communicated to and adopted by the teams
- Monitoring the progress of projects and programs
- Collecting and tracking indicators from project team members (internal/external) in order to analyze processes and formulate improvement proposals
- Analyzing results and creating reports and alerts
- Providing the necessary support to program managers/project managers to ensure proper monitoring and management of the program and all underlying projects
- Maintaining close contact with the management committee and management regarding various indicators and follow-up points of the program and underlying projects in order to initiate necessary decisions and actions
- Formulating proposals to improve and develop the organization of the PMO and the monitoring of the ICT unit
- Carrying out administrative and organizational tasks related to programs and projects to contribute to optimal operation and stakeholder satisfaction
- Ensuring that programs and projects are documented
