Role: PowerShell Developer/Specialist - European Institution

Location:
Brussels, Belgium - European Institution

Responsibilities

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

• Review, validate, and maintain existing PowerShell scripts
• Manage source code using version control systems
• Maintain and update PowerShell modules used by the team
• Manage logon/login scripts for all workstations
• Administer the scheduled tasks server and related automated jobs
• Centralise, aggregate, and deliver information from logs, databases, and Active Directory upon request

Requirements

Following skills are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

• Querying SQL Server using PowerShell
• Querying Active Directory via ADSI (without AD module on workstations)
• Centralising and processing logs from multiple formats and sources
• Working with Windows instrumentation layers (WMI / CIM)
• Strong experience in Automation & PowerShell
• Ability to write, maintain, and manage complex PowerShell scripts
• Advanced scripting skills and high‑level scripting proficiency
• Strong Windows background with solid understanding of Windows environments
• Good knowledge of Windows internals (Registry, .NET, system architecture)
• Experience with Windows configuration and Active Directory policy management
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts
• Experience in Office Automation, digital workplace, and mobile computing (Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, productivity tools)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification (or to be obtained within 3 months of starting)
• Experience with version control systems
• Regular use of Git / GitLab for code management and collaboration

Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English - Level C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
• Great knowledge of French - Level B2/C1 in Understanding, Speaking and Writing
