We are looking for an experienced Progress developer.

As a Progress OpenEdge Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining, modernizing and extending our business-critical applications.

You work in a hybrid environment combining classic ABL development with modern API-driven architectures (PASOE).

You will work alongside analysts, project managers and end users in a team with other progress experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications in ABL (Advanced Business Language)
• Design and optimize database access (OpenEdge DB)
• Build and expose APIs via OpenEdge Studio
• Analyze and improve performance (queries, locking, transactions)
• Integration with internal and external systems

Profile

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge / ABL
• Solid understanding of:
• Temp-tables, datasets, buffers
• Transactions and locking (NO-LOCK, SHARE-LOCK, EXCLUSIVE-LOCK)
• Experience with OpenEdge database design and performance tuning
• Knowledge of APIs
• Experience with PASOE (Progress Application Server)

Nice-to-have

• Experience with:
• .NET
• Modern IDEs (Progress Developer Studio / PDSOE)
• APIDOG
