ABOUT THE POSITION

The position is responsible for managing, leading, and executing projects within its own activity domain, in accordance with the established priorities and objectives, with the aim of optimally guiding and realizing changes and innovations within the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Planning, leading, organizing, and monitoring projects with the goal of efficiently and qualitatively realizing them within the established objectives of time, budget, and regulations.
  • Developing project plans, being responsible for setting up the necessary studies, technical analyses, and concepts.
  • Preparing the project schedule and monitoring progress to efficiently realize projects.
  • Leading the execution, delivery, and commissioning of installations/infrastructure/solutions/realizations, with a focus on timely delivery and quality.
  • Coordinating activities within projects, determining the required competencies of the project team, and directing and supporting internal and/or external project staff with the aim of executing projects (cost-)efficiently and with quality.
  • Motivating and supporting the project team, as well as preparing and adjusting the project planning.
  • Coordinating the activities of team members and ensuring the correct and safe execution of tasks.
  • Consulting with stakeholders as well as detecting risks and/or problems during the various project phases and managing the solution.
  • Developing and maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a point of contact, and reporting on the progress and results of the projects with the aim of optimizing collaboration and promoting acceptance.
  • Communicating about progress, planning, the financial framework, results, etc.
  • Aligning with PMO.
  • Escalating issues.
  • Being responsible for compiling and keeping the project files up to date, including documentation and the associated administrative and procedural follow-up, with the aim of having a complete and correct set of inventories, diagrams, procedures, securing the information, and complying with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Ensuring the development and maintenance of procedures and instructions for systems and/or installations.
  • Ensuring the correct execution and compliance with processes through training and appropriate documentation.
  • Being responsible for drafting and following up on regulatory provisions (licensing documents, technical and safety specifications, etc.).
  • Providing, elaborating, and/or inventorying proposals for optimization of infrastructure or applications with the aim of ensuring the organization has optimal equipment and functioning of resources.
  • Determining together with the experts what the best available technology is that should be applied.
  • Ensuring that the inputs from the different experts are challenged and consolidated so that the whole is safe, of high quality, and cost-efficient.
  • When introducing new techniques/technology, ensuring that these are well embedded in the organization.
  • Acting as lead official in the context of public procurement to ensure that the final realization meets the needs.
  • Applying the legislation regarding public procurement.
  • Content responsibility for contracts with contractors and/or suppliers.
  • Following up with contractors/suppliers and holding them to their contractual agreements.
  • Embedding change management in projects with the aim of ensuring that the change brought about by the project is supported and embraced within the organization.
  • Executing stakeholder communication to ensure it is clear what the change is and what the impact is, both to steering committees and to users.
  • Communicating to the organization what is changing and ensuring that the solution is supported and embraced.
